Been a long time. Here's some sketches I did this past week.

Been interested in rocks lately. I also tried doing the grey scale thing. Don't really like it because I felt I'd pretty much have to repaint the whole thing to add color. But there is probably an easy way I don't know about.

Coffee Compilation

A collection of coffee shop sketches I did in a little moleskin. These were all done at Radina's in Manhattan, Kansas.

Space Fella'

I'm a bit overdue for a post. Just finished David Colman's class.

Here is a space dude I did last week along with the thumbnails.

Prop Stuff and student gallery

If I don't post this stuff now, I never will. They've been sitting on my computer for a while.

If you can't tell, this is an alien killer plasma staff blade thing. I'm just tired of messing with it, but I figured why not post it.

These were all in the CGMA Fall 2012 student gallery for Fundamentals of Design. The cow head brain thing was also mine. I thought it was funny that Derek posted my notes to him about corrections in the gallery. That guy taught me a lot. Highly recommended class, but be warned that you need to know a thing or two about drawing and painting, or else you'll be like me and have to learn photoshop on the fly.

Figure Sketches

Did these during lunch and while watching Perfect Pitch. Going to take David Coleman's character class next week so I figured I need to draw figures. Plus, I haven't touched the Cintiq in like two months.

Dynamic Sketchings

Meant to post this stuff a lot earlier. In the last week of Peter Han's class, we made a highlight collection of the week's sketches onto one page, so some of this has been posted already.

We also did one last redesign too. I made this animal transport thing below.

Didn't put together a page for the plane week, so here are the pages right from my sketchbook. All these are from Forbes Field in Topeka, Kansas. They have a National Guard and the Combat Air Museums across the street from each other; makes for a nice day of sketching and the old guys there will hunt you down and talk your ear off. So you learn all kinds of cool stuff.

Apparently the box below the SkyCrane would have contained people and an office. The guys inside would have no clue what was going on in the world around them as they flew around. Old guy at the museum said it would have be absolutely terrifying to fly around in that box.

I still need to upload my prop design stuff. I've been hitting anatomy and figure drawing really hard lately in preparation for David Coleman's character class starting on the 22nd.
